Keynotes, Workshops and Seminars in Bay Area

Financial wellness keynote speaker in the Bay Area

The Bay Area pays some of the highest salaries in the country and still leaves people feeling behind. I teach Bay Area employers’ people how to handle money in a market where a big paycheck is not the same as being okay.

Anyone can get good with money

What money stress looks like in the Bay Area

Nobody outside the Bay Area believes that a six-figure household can be stressed about money. Everybody inside it knows better. A median home in San Jose runs about $1.4 million, rent in San Francisco is close to three times the national median, and a dollar buys roughly 15 percent less here than it does in the rest of the country. The engineer, the nurse, the teacher and the person running the front desk at a Peninsula office park are all doing the same math, and the math does not work the way it did for their parents.
That is the room I walk into in the Bay Area. Smart, high-earning, tired of being told to budget, and rarely taught how money actually works at this altitude. I teach them, in their numbers, and I give the employer a way to turn the benefits package they already pay for into part of the answer.
$1.4M
About $1.4 million median home sale price in San Jose
177%
San Francisco rent runs about 177% above the U.S. median
$85
$100 buys about $85 worth of goods and services in the San Francisco metro
This is true at every level of the org chart. Engineers in San Jose, nurses in Oakland, operations teams across the East Bay. High salaries do not equal financial confidence, and the Bay Area proves it every day.

Hi, I’m Hillary

I have spent 16 years teaching people how money works. Fourteen of those were inside banking and mortgage lending, where I watched smart, hardworking people sign for things they did not understand because nobody had ever explained it in plain language. I started Financial Footwork in 2016 to fix that, first with professional sports organizations, then with the employers, associations and universities who saw what it did for a room.
Since then I have worked with 15+ professional sports organizations and 50+ employers, associations and universities, and I was named a Top 50 Financial Speaker in 2022 and 2023. In the Bay Area I work with the San Francisco 49ers, and the same method that works in an NFL locker room works in a Silicon Valley all-hands. My book, Train Your Money, is the method I teach from the stage.
Here is what that means for you. I am not a financial advisor looking for clients, and I do not pitch a product or collect your employees’ information from the stage. I teach. Your people leave knowing what to do with their next paycheck, and you get a room that finally understands why the benefits matter.
Hillary Seiler, NFL Money Coach and founder of Financial Footwork.
