The confidence gap

Confidence with money does not come from having more of it. It comes from making the decisions.

women has no savings beyond a retirement account.

Vanguard, survey of 1,007 U.S. women, April 2026

Every women's conference has a session on leadership, a session on wellbeing and a session on career. Money is the one that gets skipped, or gets handed to a sponsor with a product to sell. It is also the session your attendees will talk about at the reception.

The gap is not ability, it is practice. Women who make the money decisions are the confident ones. Give the room a session that builds money confidence by putting the decisions back in their hands, and they leave with something they can use on the next paycheck.

Anyone can get good with money
Hillary Seiler, financial speaker for women's conferences and author of Train Your Money
Meet Hillary

Hi, I'm Hillary Seiler. And I was 19 when I became the one in my family who had to understand the money.

Nobody had taught me, so I learned. I have spent 16+ years teaching people how money works, 14 of them inside banking and mortgage lending, an industry that did not have many women at the top. I started Financial Footwork in 2016, and the first people who hired me were NFL player engagement directors. I have been walking into locker rooms and boardrooms ever since as a Certified Financial Education Instructor. My Amazon best-selling book, Train Your Money, is the method I teach from the stage.

Respected, not reassured.

I am not a financial advisor looking for clients, and I do not think you need to be talked to gently about money. I think you need someone who will show you how it works, in plain language, and then get out of the way. The women in your room leave believing they can handle their money and knowing the first move.

FAQ

Questions women's event planners ask.

Meeting Planners page →

Why book a money speaker for a women's conference?

Because money is the session most women's events skip, and the one attendees most want. The confidence gap is about practice, not ability: women who lead their household finances report nearly three times the confidence of women who are not involved. A keynote that puts the decisions back in the room's hands gives attendees something they use the same week.

What makes Hillary different from other speakers for women's events?

Hillary spent 14 years inside banking and mortgage lending before she started teaching, and she has now spent 16+ years teaching people how money works, from NFL and NBA locker rooms to boardrooms. She is a Certified Financial Education Instructor and the Amazon best-selling author of Train Your Money. She sells no products, manages no money and is not a financial advisor, so the room gets plain answers with no pitch at the end. She talks to women like the decision makers they are: respected, not reassured.

Which keynote is right for our women's event?

The Belief Before the Money is the keynote written for this audience: why capable women avoid their own numbers, and how to start making the decisions that build confidence. Hillary has spoken at the Women and Leadership Conference in Boise, Idaho. For women in sales or with variable income, The Math Has to Math fits. For ERG leaders and in-company programs, The $183 Billion Problem. For a general session that wants a plan to start this week, Train Your Money. Our team will help you choose.

Does Hillary speak to mixed audiences too?

Yes. Most of Hillary's work is with mixed rooms at employers, associations, universities and pro sports organizations. Any of her keynotes can be delivered to a mixed audience, and the sessions on this page are built for women's events, ERGs and networks.

Can we do a book signing or bulk order of Train Your Money?

Yes. Bulk copies of Train Your Money, Hillary's Amazon best seller, can be ordered for every attendee as an event gift, and a book signing is available on request. Ask our team when you book.

How far ahead should we book?

Women's leadership conferences typically book six to twelve months out. ERG sessions and webinars can often be scheduled within three months. Tell us your date and our team will be in touch within one business day.
